New Poll Shows Most Voters Still Support Offshore, Deepwater Drilling

Well we need oil. We need to be energy independent. Out of all the wells we've drilled for over at least, the last century, there have only been (maybe) a handful of spills such as this last one in the Gulf of Mexico. That's a very good success rate. The more we can produce here, the better we will be off and the costs will be lower. glad to read that the majority of people still support drilling.

With the massive oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico apparently under control, the majority of U.S. voters continue to support both offshore and deepwater oil drilling. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Voters shows that 63% believe offshore oil drilling should be allowed, up slightly from surveys conducted in the past four weeks. Roughly one-out-of-five voters (21%) continues to oppose offshore drilling, while another 16% are undecided.
